Casey Hart

Casey joined Ross in 2022, bringing a background in watershed and ecological restoration. She contributes communication, strategic thinking, facilitation, research, and writing skills to ecosystem-oriented projects, with a passion for applying holistic perspectives to solve challenges at the intersection of science and policy.

Casey has supported workgroups and diverse stakeholder processes, engaging local, state, and federal governments, Tribes, residents, and organizations, to find collaborative paths that balance community and environmental goals. Casey also helps develop strategies and guidance grounded in research and case studies to inform decision-making and communicate complex information to diverse audiences. Her most recent work has focused on helping the Office of Chehalis Basin advance towards a long-term strategy that integrates flood damage reduction with aquatic restoration. Other prominent projects Casey has supported at Ross have included facilitation of the Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Wolf Advisory Group, and development of Kitsap County’s Natural Assets Management Program, Department of Ecology’s Clean Water Guidance for Agriculture, and the Puget Sound Partnership’s Action Agenda.

Prior to joining Ross, Casey served with the Washington Conservation Corps and as a Riparian Restoration Associate with Skagit Fisheries Enhancement Group. She holds B.A. degrees in Biology and Environmental Studies, with a minor in Sustainable Business from Gonzaga University. Outside of work, Casey enjoys hiking, camping, and paddleboarding in the Pacific Northwest, as well as baking and playing board games with friends.
