Mariana Ramirez

Mariana Ramirez joined Ross Strategic in 2022, bringing a strong foundation in environmental science, sustainability, and stakeholder engagement. She supports a diverse portfolio of projects focused on clean energy, climate change, and water resources, with a particular emphasis on equitable access and environmental justice. Mariana is skilled in virtual facilitation and inclusive meeting design, helping clients such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and U.S. Department of Energy advance collaborative decision-making and planning.

Mariana plays a key role in supporting the Hanford Natural Resource Trustee Council, a multi-jurisdictional effort involving federal agencies, Tribal nations, and state governments that works to assess and restore natural resources impacted by hazardous releases from the Hanford Site. Her contributions include meeting design, work planning, documentation, and coordination across Council members to ensure transparent and effective collaboration.

She also supports the EPA’s Water Affordability Needs Assessment, contributing to the development of a Report to Congress that examines the burden of water costs on households and utilities across the U.S. Mariana’s work includes research, writing, editing, and coordination of outreach efforts to inform future policy and investment strategies.

Prior to joining Ross, Mariana worked as an Environmental Analyst in the banking sector, managing environmental risk in real estate transactions across central, southern, and coastal Texas. She holds dual degrees from the University of Texas at Austin including a B.S. in Environmental Science (Geology) and a B.A. in Geography with a focus on sustainability. She is also a certified Texas Master Naturalist, committed to community-based conservation and education.
