Sarah Faust
Senior Associate
Sarah is experienced in resolving complex water resource issues with diverse stakeholders. Through this work she has developed a passion for facilitating innovative solutions to providing clean, safe, and resilient water systems for people and the environment. Prior to joining Ross Strategic, Sarah’s background as a water law attorney guiding clients through issues encompassing safe drinking water, wastewater and stormwater treatment, water supply, endangered species habitat, land use, and aquifer management gave her an understanding of the full spectrum of water policy from broad legislation to specific points of challenge in implementation. Sarah has worked with utilities, regulatory agencies, elected officials, public interest groups, neighborhoods, and private landowners on a wide array of issues all related to sustainable and equitable water resources. In facilitation, Sarah prioritizes understanding the context of all interests, and presenting the relevant science, law, and procedure in a way that is understandable to all stakeholders, allowing their unique viewpoints to be reflected in an outcome.
Sarah graduated from the University of Texas with a degree in Government and the University of Texas School of Law with a J.D. She volunteers on the Austin Parks and Recreation Board and Austin’s Integrated Water Resource Community Planning Task Force. In her free time Sarah loves racing small sailboats and swimming in Barton Springs (Austin’s iconic spring-fed pool).
