Mariana joined Ross Strategic in 2022, where she uses her research and analytical skills to work on a range of projects related to clean energy and climate change. Mariana is passionate about sustainability, water resources, and ensuring a better earth for future generations.
Before joining Ross, Mariana was an Environmental Analyst at Frost Bank, where she worked to manage environmental risk in real estate transactions. While Frost Bank is a Texas-wide bank, Mariana focused specifically in the central, southern, and coastal regions of the state, including major cities such as Austin and San Antonio. She worked on creating environmental risk assessments on a variety of commercial properties such as gas stations, dry cleaners, retail centers, and housing developments. She graduated from the University of Texas (UT) at Austin with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science Geology and a Bachelor of Arts in Geography with a focus on sustainability. During her time at UT Austin, she formed part of the Athletics Department Sustainability group where the team worked towards the goal of achieving zero-waste football, baseball, and softball games. Mariana is also a certified Texas Master Naturalist which is a corps of well-informed volunteers who provide education, outreach, and service dedicated to the beneficial management of Texas natural areas within the community. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, volunteering for projects at parks, browsing local thrift shops, and spending time with her husband, puppy, and cat.
