Farnaz Seddighzadeh
Research Associate
Farnaz joined Ross Strategic in 2024, bringing expertise in water resources, land conservation, energy systems, finance, and climate policy. Farnaz is passionate about finding long-lasting solutions that address the compounding effects of social vulnerability, resource depletion, and extreme weather on communities. Prior to joining the Ross Strategic team, Farnaz worked at the Cynthia and George Mitchell Foundation where she focused on water and land conservation issues in Texas and fostered collaboration among stakeholders in nonprofit, philanthropic, government, and private sectors. She also consulted with the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, exploring policy enablers and inhibitors of demand response programs within the Texas electricity market.
Farnaz has bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Science and Geography from the University of Texas at Austin and a master’s degree in Public Affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs.
Outside of work, Farnaz finds joy in growing tomatoes and flowers, cooking, and spending time with her large Persian family.
