Tess Wendel

Tess Wendel (she/her) joined Ross Strategic in 2018 after eight years in the environmental and outdoor industry. She is passionate about science-based policy and developing infrastructure and systems that are both equitable and sustainable. As the business development manager, she leads bid coordination, supports financial forecasting, and advances business development strategy and learning across the firm. Tess also manages contracts with federal, state, and local clients and serves as Ross Strategic’s hiring manager.

She provides virtual meeting design and technical support for a wide range of the firm’s online meetings, including large webinars, networking sessions, advisory groups, collaborative working groups, and public comment meetings. Tess continually explores new ways to make meetings more engaging and uses technology to create more accessible and inclusive gatherings.

Outside of work, Tess is an avid hiker, climber, and birder. You can often find her climbing rocks around Washington State, attending local dance performances, or wandering around Montlake Fill watching ducks.
