Tim Larson
Tim Larson has more than 25 years of experience working with diverse clients—government agencies, philanthropy (including individual foundations, funder collaboratives, and intermediaries), NGOs, international organizations, and the private sector—to address complex environmental and social issues. Tim helps clients tackle complex challenges through a multi-disciplinary approach that blends strong expertise in strategic planning; policy and program development; impact measurement, learning, and evaluation; business process improvement; and group facilitation and collaborative process support.
Tim has substantive expertise in diverse areas including air quality management, climate change mitigation, adaptation and resilience, clean energy and energy efficiency, land conservation, water sustainability, large aquatic ecosystem protection and restoration, corporate environmental management, transportation, community economic development, and impact investing.
Prior to joining Ross Strategic, Tim worked as a consultant with more than thirty Fortune 500 companies in diverse sectors to develop and implement environmental management systems and sustainability initiatives. He has worked on environment and development issues in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Africa, China, India, Mexico, and Brazil. Tim has a master’s degree in environmental policy and urban and regional planning from the School for Public and International Affairs at Princeton University and a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Pennsylvania. Tim is based in Austin, Texas.
