Tess Wendel

Business Development Manager

Tess Wendel (she/her) joined Ross Strategic in 2018 after working for 8 years in the environmental and outdoor industry. She’s passionate about science-based policy and building infrastructure and systems that are equitable and sustainable. As the business development manager she leads coordination of bid responses, supports financial forecasting, and supports business development strategy and learning across the firm. Tess manages contracts with federal, state and local clients and also serves as our hiring manager. Tess provides virtual meeting design and tech support for a wide range of Ross’ online meetings including large webinars, networking sessions, advisory groups, collaborative working groups and public comment meetings. She is always discovering new ways to make meetings more engaging and loves utilizing technology to create more accessible and inclusive gatherings.

Tess is an avid hiker, climber, and birder. Outside of the office you can find her climbing cracks at Washington Pass, attending a local dance performance or wandering around Montlake Fill looking at ducks.
