Rob Willis
Principal
Rob Willis joined Ross Strategic in 2001 after graduating from the University of Washington with a master’s degree in urban planning. Rob has contributed his problem solving, research, and communications skills to support and lead a variety of information management, strategic planning, program evaluation, and multiple stakeholder mediation and facilitation projects. Mr. Willis is accustomed to working with senior decision makers, as well as technical staff, and has experience helping clients at all levels work through technical and policy challenges that affect their programs. While facilitating, Rob helps clients identify and focus on the issues at hand and is skilled at listening, mirroring, coaching, and using humor to help groups “gel” while creating respectful, collegial relationships among all stakeholders. Rob provides neutrality by being respectful, available, transparent, and assertive regarding the agreed-upon process. He is always open to all parties and never makes assumptions about interests or perspectives.
In his spare time Rob likes to hang out with Aley (his wife), Max (son #1), Milo (son #2), Elvis (his bloodhound), and Mike (his identical twin). He enjoys yoga, hiking, traveling, and eating.
