Kristen Durance
Kristen Durance joined Ross Strategic in 2006 after spending time in the field working with federal, state, and non-profit conservation agencies on habitat restoration and biological monitoring projects across Washington State. They graduated from the University of Washington in 2003 with degrees in Botany and Political Science and a focus on aquatic ecosystem restoration. Kristen has deep experience working with EPA, state environmental agencies, local governments, and tribal governments on large multi-stakeholder collaborative projects which has deeply informed their virtual and in-person meeting design and facilitation style choices.
She believes that designing for engagement can unlock deep expertise from meeting participants. Kristen has also provided strategic planning support to clients such as EPA, the New Hampshire Charitable Trust, and the Pew Foundation. Kristen is a skilled facilitator and is well versed in Liberating Structures and Emergent Learning techniques. They also serve as the co-lead for Ross Strategics’ AI integration team which focuses on the Firm’s development of an AI framework for use both internally and externally with clients.
Originally from Michigan, Kristen spends time with their family exploring the woods, beaches, and bike trails around south Puget Sound or up in the Cascades skiing and enjoying the snow.
