Lauren Dennis

Lauren joined Ross Strategic in 2020, bringing with her over a decade of experience communicating and collaborating with stakeholders, agencies, elected officials, and the public at the juncture of science and policy on a variety of water resources challenges. She has demonstrated success in steering clients towards effective community and stakeholder engagement, collaborative decision-making, program design, and interagency partnerships.

While she’s served an array of local, state, and federal clients in both public and private sectors, her most recent work has focused on supporting Washington’s Office of Chehalis Basin to advance near-term investments and long-term planning in pursuit of integrated flood damage reduction and aquatic restoration.

Lauren holds a master’s degree in Water Resources Policy and Management with a certificate in Water Conflict Management and Transformation from Oregon State University; her bachelor’s degree is in Environmental Studies from Brown University. She loves exploring the outdoors with her husband and two sons and building community with neighbors. Her happy place is floating somewhere in Puget Sound or in the waters of her hometown in Massachusetts.
