Angela CruzAngela joined Ross Strategic in 2021, where she uses her research, program evaluation, and analytic skills to a range of projects related to the environment. Angela is passionate about the climate and environmental sectors and ensuring that historically marginalized voices are represented in decision-making pertaining to health and sustainability.

Before joining Ross, Angela was a program coordinator to a Dungeness crab research group through the Washington Sea Grant Hershman Fellowship. She planned and facilitated group meetings, communicated with members, and attended the occasional co-management meeting. Angela was also an AmeriCorps member with the Watershed Stewards Program, has consulted on a USAID funded project in Indonesia, and written case-studies focused on climate change and social inequities. Angela holds a B.S. in integrative biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a M.M.A. from the University of Washington.

Outside of work, you can find Angela getting fresh pasta from the farmers market, searching for ocean critters on the sides of docks, and dreaming about SCUBA diving in warmer climates. Maybe she’ll build up the courage to go cold water diving someday.
